Heads up! As a practice, we know it’s important to know all the details about our education and experience. However, we also want to honor our values of authenticity and being humans first. If you are looking for all the formal things, keep scrolling (it’s at the bottom).
I came to mental health work through a deep belief that every person, no matter where they've been or what they've been through, has the capacity to grow and change. However, that conviction didn’t come exclusively from my education. Instead, I have learned that change is always possible through my experiences in a variety of mental health and substance use settings.
I believe that meeting people exactly where they are is the only place worth starting.
Throughout my mental health career, I have worked in a variety of settings including residential treatment, intensive outpatient (IOP) and co-occurring disorder outpatient programs. All of these experiences shaped my clinical lens when walking alongside clients: I am both grounded and flexible to client needs - holding space for clients while also gently challenging them to step into the growth I know they are capable of.
I am EMDR-trained and uses a strength-based lens alongside ACT and DBT approaches. This allows me to weave together the best “tools of the trade” to provide clients support. My passion areas are within the domains of complex trauma, substance use, and the very human messiness of being a teenager (or raising one).
I love ducks and have a large collection of the rubber variety! I am also the self-proclaimed “Queen of Parallel Parking.”
