“The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind.” – Caroline Myss

Heads up! As a practice, we know it’s important to know all the details about our education and experience. However, we also want to honor our value of authenticity and being humans first too. If you are looking for all the formal things, keep scrolling (it’s at the bottom).

If you want to start with who we are as humans, read on….

PMH-C, RYT-200 (she/her) Owner & Clinical Director

My passion for outpatient mental health therapy came from realizing that I could blend my clinical skills, experience in fast-paced hospital settings, and my own healing from childhood trauma to help others heal. As a therapist, there is no greater gift than a client trusting me enough to walk with them through their struggles and celebrate alongside them when they are triumphant. (Ok, sometimes we settle for something a bit more neutral, but you get the gist - it’s a job I take really seriously.) The space we carve out to heal is sacred and I cherish the opportunity to be involved.

I believe in our ability to heal ourselves with the right support. We can transform dark and scary narratives into ones of resilience and perseverance.

Honoring our difficult experiences and engaging in trauma healing allows us to create a foundation to move forward in our lives with the ability to create new stories with new meanings, connections, and opportunities.

Whether working with clients directly or supporting those at our practice in deepening their clinical lens, I like to focus on client’s unique strengths to promote healing and make meaning out of difficult circumstances. I use my training in EMDR and its theoretical model with most clients as well as concepts from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems and mindfulness-based treatment approaches.

When I’m not at work, you can probably find me supporting my kids with their growing interests, listening to new music or meditations on Spotify, or journaling to better understand my inner experience. Several times a year I take time to connect with nature and disconnect from the fast pace of the rest of my life. In recent years, my desire to travel to new places has grown as well.
