Graduate Level Student Intern
Heads up! As a practice, we know it’s important to know all the details about our education and experience. However, we also want to honor our values of authenticity and being humans first. If you are looking for all the formal things, keep scrolling (it’s at the bottom).
“Everything happens for a reason, whether it's good or bad, it helps us become who we are. If only good things happened in life, we'd never learn how to have strength , resilience, and perseverance. The challenging parts of life are what help us evolve.”
I'm currently a graduate intern completing my clinical training at Mindful Wellbeing under the supervision of Lisa Nemitz, LICSW.
I help children, teens, and young adults manage anxiety and depression by creating a safe space to talk and providing stress management intervention strategies while conducting a client centered approach.
I have had ADHD and anxiety since I was in elementary school, so these are conditions that I have experienced first hand, so I understand the challenges people can face socially and emotionally.
I love going to concerts and I’m a huge One Direction fan! My favorite has always been Niall Horan (I’m seeing him this spring!!) I also love movies, mainly psychological thrillers. Memento, Fractured, the Final Destination movies, and Don’t Worry Darling are some of my favorites. I also love choice based video games; some of my favorites are Life is Strange, House of Ashes, Until Dawn, and The Quarry. If you haven’t figured it out already, I like to do arts and crafts! My favorite medium is colored pencils, but I’ve recently started experimenting with acrylic paint.
I love seeing the growth and progress when working with clients. It’s such a rewarding feeling knowing that I was able to help someone reach their therapeutic goals.
I started out working with preschool aged children on the Autism spectrum and it was such a rewarding experience. I want to provide a safe space for clients and make a positive impact on them. Whether it's managing emotions or reconstructing a different perspective on life. I love incorporating art into therapy because it's a great outlet for releasing feelings you may not even know you're holding inside.
I'm especially interested in supporting people managing ADHD symptoms, school aged kids, or anyone looking for a creative way to process their own emotions.
If you are looking for a therapist who is authentic, humorous and uses creative and expressive arts during the healing process, then I’m your person!
